Old Navy is attempting has created a fall collection worthy of mentioning. I have to say the last couple of years of their fall fashion has kinda sucked a bit. This new collection looks promising though. The pants appear to be more tailored, the blouses get more fluff and the sweaters have more variety.
I don’t normally wear ponchos but the one pictured above is pretty cool, but I would add a belt. The fur vests are great paired with jeans and the tiered skirts are ladylike and trendy.
Bottom line: Looks like Old Navy is making a comeback.
What do you think?

Leather and ladylike gloves at Louis Vuitton.
Gloves make an exceptional comeback for fall 2010. Fashion week saw gloves in the shows of some of the hottest designers including Yves Saint Laurent, Derek Lam, Carolina Herrera, Donna Karan and Prada. Rich leathers, cozy knits and jeweled gloves should make for a warm and chic seasonal accessory.

Best known for their trench coats, Burberry has propelled outerwear to a whole new level. The fall 2010 collection is dominated by coats, pencil skirts, boots and draping. Giant collars and military-inspired looks are paired well with the slim-fitting skirts and leggings. Wine, olive, mustard, mahogany, black, and navy hues are plentiful. The looks in this collection are one of the most impressive to date.

Coats, jackets and long skirts were the center of attention for Aquascutum. The latest fall collection is combining daytime chic with evening glamor, complete with adornment and detail. It’s almost as if the models were dressed for an formal ball at a ski-lodge, complete with puff jackets and toe-dusting gowns. But it’s cool though! I’m digging this collection, simply because the garments were flawless and the models carried them off with no problem. Sometimes the simplest and most amazingly usual looks are the best. This is one of those times.

Diane von Furstenberg is my kinda girl. She designs with intention and knows how to keep even the most structured looks feminine. Known for her signature wrap dresses, she doesn’t fall behind when it comes to designing other garments. Her latest effort is a touch modern chic and a dash of bohemian with a classic ladylike twist.

Narcisco Rodriguez is borrowing from the men for his pre-fall collection. The menswear inspired garments are “sexy by proportion” according to the designer and consist of shrunken blazers, fitted dresses and second skin ottoman knits. Draping, exposed seams, and cutout shapes round out this collection.

Plum gets the job done.
A classic tweed jacket complements this pencil skirt.
Silver remains dominant among color trends.
Rosette detail make this jacket a winner.
Trim is definitely in.
Black is back.
Designers are already to the future, 2010 that is. Armani Collezioni is giving fashion lovers a peek at its pre-fall collection which include a palette of plum, silver, and gray; black and creme. Tweed jackets, rosette detail and satin trims add flavor to the collections pieces.
